Bad bad mummy

February 22nd, 2007

Ok, I have to admit - yesterday, I would excuse you for saying I was a bad bad mummy. Or at lease a bad bad housewife.

The beds stayed unmade all day, and I got around in a singlet and undies all day. Charley was at pre school, and apart from working on mumspace.net, I didn’t really do anything.

But I think I have made up for it today - I vacuumed, did the washing, cleaned the kitchen - I even cleaned the microwave and did the grocery shopping - and all with charley at home!

The point of this post is I think that sometimes we put to many expectations on ourselves. I know that sometimes I think to myself "my husband will be home soon, so I better have the house clean and the dinner ready and Charley bathed etc." But to tell you the truth, he couldn’t care less.

I think the point is, I might be a mad mad mummy and a bad bad mummy, but as long as Charley and my husband still love me, who cares. :)

i think a lot of us think that we need to be ’supermums’ but all we really need to do is just be ‘lovely mums to our bubs’ and ‘there for our bubs’ mums. all we can do is our best and that is different for us all. you’re so right, we just need our family and everything is ok.
