My new bed buddy
March 17th, 2007
For the last week or so, every night at around 3am, I hear little footsteps coming down the hall toward my bedroom. They are familiar footsteps, so I lay and wait until I get a tap on my shoulder. I open my eyes a crack to see a bedsheveled little Charley, saying "cuddle?". Instinctively I pick her up and hold her tight while she lays in bed between Richie and I. And that is where she stays until morning.
Now don’t get me wrong. It’s lovely, but I am a bit worried that she will become too attached to it and will always want to sleep with us. Up until now the case was that she wouldn’t go to sleep at all in our bed and we were happy with that, cause it meant that our bed remained ours. And it is even at the point where I am picking her up and putting her in bed with us in my sleep - the other night I woke up and she was there - and I don’t remember how she got there! Richie denies putting her there, and she can’t climb onto our bed - so it must have been me!!
I am thinking that it must just be her age - god love her. She is so attached to mummy at the moment, and I have never really had that because she has always craved Dida cause he isn’t around as much. It’s nice.
Hey I shouldn’t complain - at least she is sleeping somewhere!

hehe - I often have the same with Z - but most nights I don’t even hear him come in!
It must be their age as my eldest who is 3 is also doing the same thing at the moment and like missie K half the time I don’t realise he is there!
Obviously it’s natures way of making sure there is little opportunity to have another baby! Lol
Aww how cute I love when I wake up with a mystery guest. I wake up with a little hand or foot across my head and wonder who it is. (Thomas co-sleeps with me but I get special guest appearances by the other 3 from time to time.)
