Just had a thought…

Does anyone wrestle with their toddler to give them medication? I almost had to put Charley in a headlock this morning to give her Nurofen and her antibiotics after the "special drink" trick saw her turn her nose up with an "I don’t like it". So I had to go in military style - I wonder if anyone else has any suggestions?

My only suggestion is sit on her chest with a dropper! No, seriously- it’s just one of those rite of passeage battles between mother and child….
Been there, done that. When they’re 14 and 6ft 3.5 and don’t want eye drops in, it’s IMPOSSIBLE!!! Even sitting on their chest doesn’t work.
A syringe (without the needle) always worked for mine. They like to suck it out the end. A lolypop held infront of them as a bribe would probably work too!
Oh Yeah! I hear ya here. My 3 yr old is pretty good most of the time, but we do battle and I have to put him in a head lock and do it, I use the syringe method as well.
Now my 9 yr old is just as bad. She gets migraines and when she does she fights me when I give her medicine, even though she knows it will make her better, also when she’s got a sore throat, she won’t take Panadol - so I say “Well then, have a sore throat and don’t complain!”
Good luck.
