No rest for the mother

Just a quick one this morning - but why don’t mums get sick days?
My dancing daughter
September 26th, 2007
Now I am little late with posting this, but I claim sickness…
Last week the parents was parents day for Charley’s dancing class, so I got to sit in and watch her.
Now she has only been doing dancing for around a month now, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she is so good at it! She participates in the class and is learning the routine for the ...
I’m still here…
September 24th, 2007
… just!
Argh, it seems that I just can’t get better! A week and a half of the flu and other sorted problems brought on mouth ulcers, which has now in turn caused a really bad infection in my remaining two wisdom teeth, which has floored me more than anything. The infection is so bad that they want to clear it before they take the teeth out next week - just to prolong it a little ...
A bad day
September 20th, 2007
Have you ever just had a bad day? I am having one of those today. A couple of reasons which I won’t elborate on, but it is pretty much just a bad day.
Not that it has all been bad - saw Charley dancing this morning which I’ll post about later, and spent the afternoon with my SIL, but can’t shake the feeling that I am having a bad day.
Not long left though… ...

joke for the day
September 17th, 2007
A woman went to a pet shop & immediately spotted a large, beautiful parrot.
There was a sign on the cage that said $50.00.
"Why so little?" she asked the pet store owner.
The owner looked at her and said, "Look, I should tell you first that this bird used to live in a house of prostitution, and sometimes it says some pretty vulgar stuff."
The woman thought about this, but decided she had to have the bird anyway.
She ...
A trip to Symbio
September 16th, 2007
So today we went to Symbio Wildlife Gardens with my SIL Tanya who is over from Canada and her two girls, Kiera and Siarah.
It was a lovely day - beautiful Spring weather, not too hot, not too cold. And I really loved the park. Small enough that you could get everywhere easily, but big enough that it had plenty to see. And you actually got to get up really ...
Telling the tale
September 16th, 2007
This is a great idea from bbanne’s mumspace. It is a project where readers of your blog add sentences to a tale and see where it goes. So I am adding my bit and lets see if we can make it take off!
Here is the way it works.
1. Copy these instructions and the following paragraph into a post on your blog.
2. Read the story so far and add your sentence to it. It must make ...
School friends
September 14th, 2007
It’s been about 10 years since I was at school, and I dont really keep in touch with any of my friends there, except one, Karyna, who I went and had coffee with today.
It was great catching up,which we tend to try and do every couple of months or so. I love having a friend like that who I have known since I was in primary school, even if she did try and steal my ...
jammie day
September 9th, 2007
Spent a lazy Sunday today - everyone in their jammies all day. Even Charley.
Outside wouldn’t make up its mind, sunny then raining then sunny then raining, so we decided that inside was the place to stay. Loved it.
