BUSTING!
December 12th, 2007
Well today I got to see my baby - yes just one thank god!! - for the first time. But not before a bit of an ordeal!
With my first ultrasound with Charley, I apparently didn’t drink enough, and the sonographer was not happy about it. So this time around, I overcompensated a little. Bad move.
When I got there, I needed to go to the toilet so bad that walking was uncomfortable, so when they told me that one of their sonographers had called in sick, and there would be a wait, I took them up on the suggestion to go to the toilet and refill with water.
An hour later, I was back in the same situation - and still waiting! I was in so much pain, and the morning sickness didn’t make it any better! I tried letting some go, but was scared that there wouldn’t be enough to see the baby!
Funnily enough when it was our turn the sonographer asked me to go and empty my bladder a little cause it was too full! I have never felt that kind of pain before - and I hope to never again!
All said and done, the baby is looking healthy and everything is coming along nicely - and I’ll never hold it again!

Guh! I hate those ultrasounds where you need a full bladder. How can they make you wait with a full bladder? It’s jsut cruel!
The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago.I was so embarrassed, yet sooooo relieved when it was over! I was sure that I was going to wet myself in front of everyone in the waiting room.
After all that, I’m glad to hear that Baby is healthy and all is going well.
