6 weeks pregnant!

October 31st, 2007

Heavens knows how I managed it, especially considering over the last couple of months I have had the flu, an infected wisdom tooth, tonsilitis, a blocked gall bladder, mild septecemia and now the mumps!! But somehow through all of that I managed to fall pregnant - yay!! Very early days yet, so hoping it sticks, but thought that I should tell you all!!

Am I turning into my parents?

August 31st, 2007

From a young age I can clearly remember watching Burke’s Backyard.

Now it is 7:30 Friday night and I have just switched over to Better Homes and Gardens. I guess the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree does it! :)

You gotta have friends

August 31st, 2007

Got my girlfriends coming over tonight - Ness, Ang and my sister Vetty.

For years we were all pretty much inseperable, but lately cause everyone is at different life stages we haven’t seen much of each other so I am looking forward to seeing them.

I know that Ang and Ness regularly read my mumspace - so here’s to them. :) You’re late. :)

Pre-eclampsia awareness week

August 20th, 2007

Well this week is pre-eclamsia awareness week, so I thought that I would share my pre-eclampsia experience with you. This has also been published on Moment by Moment, which is a fantastic resource for any premmie parent.

Charley was a surprise package that became apparent weeks after my now husband and I got engaged. Needless to say, once we found out I was pregnant, the wedding was on ...

Getting social

August 18th, 2007

It’s funny - for the past year I have been so immersed in building both the community and the functionality for mumspace.net that while I have heard about and been reading about all these new innovations in social networking, I have never actually used them. So I am getting involved - first with Tangler and most recently with Pownce and now I am trying ...

Bold and the Beautiful tragic

August 17th, 2007

Don’t know whether I have mentioned this before, but I am a complete Bold and the Beautiful tragic. Love it.

It’s funny though how I swing between the characters that I am rooting for. I think I am always rooting for the underdog. One minute I love Brooke, the next I hate her and want Taylor to win whichever man they are fighting over now, but for some reason I always want to see Stephanie go ...

Crazy netballers

August 16th, 2007

I love playing netball. I play every Thursday night in a local comp, but sometimes it gets a little out of hand. :)

I play goal defence, and I have been described by some of the umpires as the one of the hungriest players they have seen. I just go for everything. And sometimes I am a little rough, but I figure if I do ...

This blogging thing is great!

August 13th, 2007

Was having a look at my stats (you can see yours by clicking on the "more" under new members on the home page and then scroll through the pages till you come to you!) and I am coming up on 200 posts and something like 300 comments! It is amazing how quiclkly they add up.

So my mumspace is a veritable tale of my life over the past 8 months, and its great sometimes to look ...

I’ve been tagged!

August 11th, 2007

Ok, I am a litle late, but I am finally getting around to my tag from Melissa Khalinksy’s blog

Here are the rules of engagement:

a)  Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves.

b) The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed.

c) At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know ...

tea = teaspoons

August 9th, 2007

don’t you hate it when, because it is cold, you drink a hell of a lot of tea and at the at the end of the day you realise that you have used every teaspoon in the house?

Gotta develop a system where I reuse the same teaspoon! :)
