Argh, APEC
September 5th, 2007
I think that I have said this before, but isn’t it sad when you realise you are cursing public holidays?!
All day I have been going through my to-do list, marking things to do on Friday, which is usually another Charley free day for me.
And then I am reminded - APEC public holiday on Friday. So I will be working at the bar, which will be good money, but we will earn it. What else will ...
A good gap?
August 27th, 2007
Cause I am looking at having my second, I have been thinking lately about the best gap between siblings. And this afternoon, I had a little bit of a preview when I picked up my nephew from school, who is just over three years older than Charley.
Now I am not sure if it is just because they are cousins and don’t live together, but they get along really well and he is 6 and she ...
Pre-eclampsia awareness week
August 20th, 2007

Well this week is pre-eclamsia awareness week, so I thought that I would share my pre-eclampsia experience with you. This has also been published on Moment by Moment, which is a fantastic resource for any premmie parent.
Charley was a surprise package that became apparent weeks after my now husband and I got engaged. Needless to say, once we found out I was pregnant, the wedding was on ...

This blogging thing is great!
August 13th, 2007
Was having a look at my stats (you can see yours by clicking on the "more" under new members on the home page and then scroll through the pages till you come to you!) and I am coming up on 200 posts and something like 300 comments! It is amazing how quiclkly they add up.
So my mumspace is a veritable tale of my life over the past 8 months, and its great sometimes to look ...

Bad Mother’s Club
April 13th, 2007

Well well - there has been alot of hype today about the Bad Mother’s Club! So here is my two cents.
I think that there is way to much judgement out there for mums. I think that anyone who is dissing the whole idea of the Bad Mother’s Club is completely missing the point and can’t get past the name. For goodness sake - it is a joke.
It’s getting late, but ...
Everyone’s Got A Bottom
April 11th, 2007
Everyone’s Got A Bottom is a controversial new book being put out by Family Planning Queensland that is doing the talk show circuit at the moment. Apparently this book is so controversial that it has been banned by a popular childcare service provider - I wonder if anyone has the dirt on who that could be?
The idea of this book is to educate ...
Saving Baby
March 28th, 2007
There was a tragic story on the news the last night about how a learner driver clipped the gutter and ploughed into a group of pedestrians waiting at a bus stop. Unfortunately one young woman was killed and an 18-month-old toddler is fighting for his life.
However, another factor in this story got me thinking. Apparently, there was a 6-month-old in a pram among these pedestrians who were hit, and when his mother realised that they ...
Bad bad mummy
February 22nd, 2007
Ok, I have to admit - yesterday, I would excuse you for saying I was a bad bad mummy. Or at lease a bad bad housewife.
The beds stayed unmade all day, and I got around in a singlet and undies all day. Charley was at pre school, and apart from working on mumspace.net, I didn’t really do anything.
But I think I have made up for it today - I vacuumed, did ...
