Charley is so cute and helpful lately. Last night, she wanted to help me get her bottle ready for bed. So she ran over to the cupboard, opened it up and got her bottle out and gave it to me. The doors were still open, so I said to her "now close the doors", and she just ran off.

I have been looking to buy a nice print for our lounge room - something to match my bright green and bright red couches.

But everytime I come across something i like, I can’t help but think to myself "that looks like something Charley could have done!"

So I put my thoughts into action, and went to my local variety store and bought two $8 canvases. And then, with a little direction, let Charley go to town. ...

Now Charley has absolutely beautiful hair. It is soft and blonde and forms little ringlets at the end. I have only had it trimmed once cause it is still only about halfway down her back, and it looks so nice when it is done up.

But now it is becoming the bain of my existence and I dread the morning hair brush.

Charley screams. It doesn’t matter if her hair is completely knot free - she screams ...

Over the last couple of days I have realised just how good a little girl Charley is. Even though sometimes she drives me crazy when we are at home, lately when I have needed her to behave, she has been an angel.

Like last week when I was dashing madly around the shops trying to find a new outfit - she very patiently just followed me around and even told me what she liked and didn’t ...

Does anyone wrestle with their toddler to give them medication? I almost had to put Charley in a headlock this morning to give her Nurofen and her antibiotics after the "special drink" trick saw her turn her nose up with an "I don’t like it". So I had to go in military style  - I wonder if anyone else has any suggestions?

Charley has been watching a lot of Elmo’s birthday video, and has been loving making cakes out of playdough, so when she announced she was making me one, I wasn’t too fussed. Not even when I heard her rumaging around in the bathroom. And then she came out with this - happy birthday mum.

At about 4 this morning Charley came trotting into my room and hit my until I woke up. She demanded a cuddle. I pulled her into bed with me and gave her a bit cuddle, expecting her to go to sleep.

After about 2 minutes she said to me "I want to go back to bed now Mummy." And off she went. What a cutie.
